International Olympiad of Science 2018

International Olympiad of Science 2018 invites applications from students of class 1 to 12.  This competition aims to provide a solid foundation for students to excel in the subject of Science.

Who is offering this scholarship ?

The Olympiad is being organised by SilverZone Foundation. The foundation is a veteran of International Education Olympiads with more than a decade of experience, excellence and popularity.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

Students of class 1 to 12 are eligible to participate.

What are the benefits ?

International Olympiad of Science 2018 provides: LEVEL-3
Top 2 students of the 3rd level participants will be sent for an educational excursion to NASA.
LEVEL-2
  • Olympiad 1st rank holder of class 12 will be awarded a cash prize of INR 1,00,000 along with a Winner’s Trophy and Olympiad 1st rank holder of class 11 will be awarded a cash prize of INR 50,000 along with a Winner’s Trophy.
  • 1st Olympiad rank holder from class 1 to10 will be awarded a cash prize of INR 15,000 each with a Winner’s Trophy.
  • 2nd Olympiad rank holder in each class will be awarded a cash prize of INR 10,000 each with a Winner’s Trophy.
  • 3rd Olympiad rank holder in each class will be awarded a cash prize of INR 5,000 each with a Winner’s Trophy.
  • All-State 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank holders of all classes will be awarded exciting prizes (they must score minimum marks 50%).
  • All participants will be awarded the Student Participation Certificate (SPC).
LEVEL-1
  • 4th to 10th rank holders of each class in Olympiad will be awarded wrist watches.
  • 11th to 25th Olympiad rank holders of each class will be awarded exciting prizes.
  • 26th to 500th Olympiad rank holders of each class will be awarded the topper achievement certificate.
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank holders of every class of each school will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively, provided the topper obtains at least 50% marks.
  • All participants will be awarded the Student Participation Certificate (SPC) and Descriptive Assessment Report.

How can you apply ?

An applicant can apply for the Olympiad through his/her respective school. 

What are the selection criteria ?

Level 1
Students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to take part in Level 1.
Level 2
Top 1000 Olympiad rank holders of the 1st Level from each class will compete for top positions in a 2nd level examination. All Class 1st rank holders with minimum 60% of marks with minimum 100 students from a particular school are also eligible for Level 2.
Level 3
Olympiad 1st rank holders of class 6 to 12 from 2nd level will be eligible for Level 3. Level 3 will be conducted at New Delhi, India.

What are the important dates ?

Last date to register- 31 August 2018
Olympiad Date- 22 November 2018 and 18 December 2018

Note: The schools can decide the best-suited examination date out of the two. 

Terms and Conditions

  • The student needs to pay INR 120 as the participation fee.
  • The test will be conducted in English language.
  • The duration of the test will be of 60 minutes with 40 questions for class 1 & 2 and 50 questions for class 3 to 12.
